Responsibilities

Peraton requires Audio Visual/Video Teleconferencing (AV.VTC) Technicians to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3. Positions are located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL, and at the TSOC and Component locations in the United States and abroad.

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network

Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

The AV/VTC Technician requires excellent problem-solving and customer service skills, as well as thorough knowledge of AV/VTC hardware, software and network connections. VTC Schedulers must have expertise in scheduling VTC sessions in VTC bridges, hands-on experience with debugging the interoperation of VTC bridges and end points, as well as experience setting up, maintaining and troubleshooting AV equipment (displays, microphones, sound boards etc.) Must have the ability to configure, test and troubleshoot Crestron equipment. Proficient in Crestron Studio (the Crestron Application for fully customizable programming, GUI design, engraving, device set up and congratulation. A thorough understanding of video distribution using digital media driven technologies (NVX). The Senior AV/VTC Technician shall manage and provide day-to-day support for desktop VTC units. The Sr. Technician shall provide VTC equipment services including, but not limited to, the following:

Primary duties include:

    Installing, configuring, testing, debugging, and removing desktop
  • Recommending lifecycle upgrades to desktop VTCs and once approved and purchased, upgrade identified desktop VTCs
  • Installing flat panel displays, room based VTC endpoints, projectors, and A/V
  • Proactively monitoring the operation of MCU VTC sessions on behalf of end users to ensure proper operation.
  • Troubleshooting, analyzing, and isolating the root cause of problems that arise during a live
  • Scheduling, coordinating, and administering multiple simultaneous VTC sessions, VTC bridges and Session Border Controls
  • Planning, installing, configuring, operating, maintaining, defending, managing, repairing, and updating the VTC components including performing software updates, account management, and conference scheduling.
  • Recommending upgrades to VTC systems at least annually and incorporating approved upgrades when acquired by the Government
  • Monitoring VTC services to facilitate the early detection of incidents, impending outages, or
  • Providing remote support for deployed VTC endpoints
  • Some positions may require shift work and/or an ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM mission
Qualifications

High School level plus some specialized training; Minimum of 5 years

DoD TS clearance or higher is required
* At least four years of experience supporting and troubleshooting AV/VTCs equipment in Government environment, as well as troubleshooting and fixing AV/VTC hardware and software

Target Salary Range
$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
