The Children?s Attendant is responsible for organizing and conducting activities in the Babysitting and Facilitated Play areas or special programs, including camps, parties, rentals, gymnasium activities and holiday events. Attendants will help out wherever they are needed on a rotating basis within Facilitated Play ? babysitting, gym classes, etc. |
Talent Pool: Allied Health
Supervises the Babysitting area, assists the Lead Teacher(s) with Facilitated Play programs, and ensures the safety of each participant. Maintains order and discipline by enforcing rules and regulations and using appropriate behavior management techniques, including maintaining appropriate staff/child ratios and informs the Lead Teacher or Facilitated Play Coordinator if additional help is needed. Actively interacts with participants in an inviting and positive way, accepts and implements directions and cues from the Lead Teacher, and creates an atmosphere of fun. Prepares activity area prior to program/event/shift start and ensures ongoing safety, cleanliness, and sanitation. Comprehends center and department rules, regulations and policies and enforces them. Has a thorough understanding of Center offerings for children and assists in selling them. Performs daily duties including accurate record keeping and attendance, storage room organization, implementation of activities, daily/weekly cleaning duties and care of equipment and supplies. Follows opening and closing duty procedures as directed by the Lead Teacher or Facilitated Play Coordinator. Promotes the department?s programs and services by establishing relationships with children and their families who frequent Medical Fitness in order to generate maximum participation in PLAY, and in special programs throughout the facility. |
