Job Description | Full-time lecturer position for an individual capable of teaching undergraduate science education courses, coordinating the undergraduate science education program, and teaching on-campus introductory biology courses such as Principles of Biology. Responsibilities also include service on departmental and university committees. Responsibilities include the following: Coordination of the undergraduate science education program; supervision of students during their internship which includes supervising the students' edTPA completion; teaching a 4/4 load which includes science education and introductory biology courses and lab courses in various formats (on-campus and online), writing in the discipline and writing enriched courses; community outreach and service-learning; serving on departmental and university committees; and coordinating with UNCP's Council of Education Preparation Programs (CEEP). The successful applicant will serve as a member of CEEP. Beginning August 2024 (9-month appointment).
