Your role at Baxter:

As an HR payroll coordinator, your primary responsibilities include handling weekly payroll process, reviewing and approving employee hours, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payroll-related transactions for our manufacturing sites in Marion, NC, Cleveland, MS and St Paul, MN. You will be responsible for using a time management system to track employee hours and ensure that all payroll-related information is accurate and up-to-date. Additionally, you will be expected to have a strong understanding of Workday and UKG, our company's human resources and payroll software, and be able to navigate the systems with ease. Attention to detail and the ability to work with Excel are also essential skills for this role. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all payroll-related transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner, and that all employees are paid correctly and on time.

What you'll be doing:

  • Creating an exceptional experience for our employees by processing payroll transactions in a timely and accurate manner
  • Managing payroll and attendance adjustments with a focus on resolving issues quickly and efficiently, capitalizing on every opportunity to engage and teach
  • Delivering a suite of labor, time and attendance reports and KPIs to ensure accurate and timely payments while also creating analytics with a focus on providing valuable insights.
  • Staying current with changes in payroll regulations and laws, and implementing any necessary updates to the company's payroll processes and procedures in partnership with global payroll operations
  • Participating in internal audits and reviews of payroll processes and procedures, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Training users on our time and attendance system (Hourly employees and Supervisors)
  • Maintaining and promoting engagement and understanding of our labor optimization solution
  • Processing on-demand payments and deductions in Workday
  • Maintaining employee profiles in the time and attendance systems
  • Participating in the offboarding process by ensuring proper and timely payments

What you'll bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Two-year associate degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of payroll, Workday and UKG system experience is preferred
  • Experience with large manufacturing sites is preferred
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook) is required.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $49,600 - $68,200 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
