Elwyn provides behavioral health services to improve the quality of life for individuals living with mental illness and addictions, serving over 7,000 individuals across 6 states. Elwyn Adult Behavioral Health Services seeks a passionate and experienced Program Director to lead our dynamic Drop-In Center in Raleigh, NC. This unique program offers a supportive haven for young adults to geriatric consumers with chronic mental illness and co-occurring disorders. You'll play a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high-quality services, and fostering a positive environment that empowers individuals on their recovery journeys.



$50000 - $60000 / year and comprehensive benefits
Eligible for $2000 sign on bonus
Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4 pm with occasional weekend activities

The Drop-In Center:

  • Operates under a blended model of a traditional clubhouse and peer-run recovery center, offering a cost-reimbursed service.
  • Provides a comprehensive program that goes beyond mental health/addiction recovery counseling.
  • Offers daily programs including:
    • Physical health education and support
    • Leisure activities
    • Structured skills training groups
    • Peer recovery services
    • Access to Elwyn's creative arts program, Studio 35
  • Creates a space of hope and opportunity for members with mental illness to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Supervision: Provide strong leadership and clinical supervision to staff, ensuring program compliance with regulations and best practices. Develop and implement client treatment plans, monitor service delivery, and mentor staff to deliver exceptional care.
  • Clinical Expertise: Utilize evidence-based approaches, including the Prism Model, to guide clinical interventions and program development. Collaborate with the Regional Licensed Personnel to ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
  • Program Management: Develop and maintain a balanced budget, manage resources effectively, and schedule regular staff meetings. Assist in crafting program and regional strategic plans to ensure alignment with agency goals.
  • Safe & Supportive Environment: Maintain a safe and welcoming space for consumers, staff, and visitors. Ensure facilities and equipment are functional and well-maintained (duties may vary).
  • Compliance & Reporting: Guarantee program adherence to all regulatory, licensing, and accreditation requirements. Maintain accurate and comprehensive program records, ensuring timely submissions to internal and external agencies.
  • Teamwork & Communication: Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment. Communicate effectively with staff, consumers, and external stakeholders.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a closely related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Two years of experience in community support programs serving adults with chronic mental illness.
  • Experience with the Prism Model and a strong understanding of co-occurring disorders is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, supervisory, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including email, internet, and electronic health record systems.
