The ideal candidate will have prior experience with writing customer contracts and negotiation of contracts as well as all other aspects of contract administration, including tracking and organizing contracts, coordinating and conducting contract review and communications, and experience editing/redlining contracts according to guidelines set by IXL management.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Administration and review of legal documents and customer agreements for IXL Learning and our complete family of brands under the supervision of our Contracts Director #LI-HYBRID
  • Lead, manage and assign tasks to a team of Contract Administrators
  • Coordinate customer contract and other legal document review, revision, and negotiation in collaboration with Contracts Director, General Counsel, Sales Management, Product, Finance, Customer Support, and Engineering teams; edit and revise documents according to guidelines set by IXL leadership
  • Prepare and communicate legal document status to appropriate sales team members
  • Maintain version control of all agreements to ensure the most current is returned to sales team and customers
  • Establish and maintain contracts database for all IXL brands; provide tracking and reporting on contract documents as needed
  • Maintain vendor registrations for all IXL brands
  • Work to obtain proper signatures (customer and CEO) on all agreements and act as liaison with IXL's General Counsel on new agreements and renegotiated terms
  • Perform customization of standardized agreements at the direction of Sales leadership and General Counsel
  • Other tasks as assigned, including assisting with tracking and responding to legal notices and litigation related tasks
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • BA/BS degree in Business or related field and/or a certificate of completion or degree from an approved paralegal program or post-secondary institution
  • 5+ years of contract administration experience
  • 2+ years of people management experience
  • Competence in legal/commercial terms relevant to SaaS contracts - such as data privacy, security and SOW's
  • Prior experience at an education related company or experience with education related laws such as FERPA is preferred
  • Ability to properly handle materials that are highly sensitive and confidential
  • General knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with others
  • Exceptional ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, in English
  • Ability to work independently and be self-starting
  • Expert knowledge of administrative procedures and systems such as word processing systems, records management systems, file organization and maintenance, preparation of standard forms and other typical office procedures and terminology
  • Experience using Salesforce is preferred
