GENERAL PURPOSE

An Operations Technician is an important part of our Warehouse team and is responsible for a variety of tasks such as loading finished goods and retrieving parts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsible for material handling to include receiving, storing, and pulling raw and finished goods through the facility in a safe, accurate and timely manner, along with the proper part tracking.

Reports shortages, and or damages to supervisor in a timely manner.

The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Must operate adequate material handling tools such as forklift and other warehouse tools and equipment.

Solves problems with the assistance of other team members and seeks continuous improvement.

Required to learn additional functions through cross-training in other departments.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

One of the following is required: (1) High school diploma or its equivalent (GED for example), (2) work experience which demonstrates performance competency

Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of basic warehousing, storage, and distribution methods and procedures.

Competent in basic math skills such as counting, adding, and subtracting.

Ability to work cooperatively within the team as well as with members of other teams to meet goals.

Demonstrated willingness to adapt to a continually changing environment.

Required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms for the duration of the shift.

Ability to regularly lift and move up to 10 lbs, frequently lift and move up to 60 lbs.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Required to talk and to be able to hear and see with or without correction.
