Job Description

  • Manufacturing Manages high complexity design and planning of layout for assembly and materials handling.
  • Adaptation of machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
  • Planning of sequence of operations and specification procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
  • This position will be working with project management and the ME team and be responsible for designing fixtures and tooling, developing work instructions, tracking action items, and completing PPAP activities (PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA). The successful candidate will be able to communicate clearly and run projects effectively.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Material Flow Design: Develop and implement strategies and plans that optimize material flow and maintain accurate inventory within the factory.
  • Material Replenishment: Design and improve material replenishment processes, including the layout of storage areas near production lines, and material flow paths, to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement, cost reduction, and waste elimination within the material replenishment operations.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all logistics and material replenishment activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Support team with maintaining accurate Plan For Every Part (PFEP). Analyze data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including procurement, quality, and production, to ensure seamless logistics operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in factory logistics, material flow optimization, or supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • SAP experience is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
