Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
Facilities Operations has the responsibility of providing a wide range of services to all administrative departments, student programs, and all academic schools and departments. Services include all aspects of corrective and preventive maintenance, operations, grounds maintenance, housekeeping, utility infrastructure maintenance and operations, business operations, safety, regulatory compliance, project management, and renovations. These duties are conducted for a campus consisting of over 100 buildings totaling 6 million gross square feet on over 275 acres.
Position Summary
The primary purpose of this position is the responsibility for the daily operation and maintenance of all Dining Services equipment, including HVAC & Refrigeration equipment in a designated area or section of the campus, including the repair, replacement, installation and maintenance of Dining Service equipment. This position has full responsibility for preventive and corrective maintenance in all dining areas of campus. This position works under the guidance and supervision of the Dining Services Maintenance Supervisor.

Preventive and Corrective Maintenance – 60%
Refrigeration System Maintenance and repair – 25%
General Building Maintenance – 10%
Safety – 5%

This position is a mandatory position as defined in the Adverse Weather and Emergency Event Policy.

This position requires working an emergency call-back rotation and may be called in for emergency response during nights, weekends, and holidays.

Valid NC driver’s license required. 
Universal CFC required.
Minimum Qualifications

HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENCY; OR DEMONSTRATED POSSESSION OF THE COMPETENCIES NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE WORK. SOME POSITIONS MAY REQUIRE SPECIAL LICENSES OR CERTIFICATION. OPTIONAL GUIDELINES: EXPERIENCE IN THE TRADE AREA RELATED TO THE AREA OF ASSIGNMENT MAY BE SUBSTITUTED ON A YEAR-FOR-YEAR BASIS.
